Opening Day

I remember the first blog I ever followed was many years ago. I don't know if it was even considered a "blog" back then.  It was a very rudimentary narrative documenting the follies of a very bad neighbor that turned a nice little street into a redneck nightmare. I remember being excited when a new post was put up - the neighbor had committed some transgression even worse than the one before. I felt like I was living in someone else's little world and I cheered them on to win in the battle of "good" versus "evil". Imagine my disappointment when my champion quit blogging.............I was devastated!  Did the neighbor take down his dixie flag from his makeshift flagpole?  Did the 12 year old stop shooting off bottle rockets every weekend?  I had to know. Soon reality tv became the mainstream and I started watching the "Real Housewives" series and every other reality show ever produced. And I still look out my window like "Mrs. Cravitz" to see what my neighbors are doing.  I'm a natural voyeur.

So, I thought it was only fair that I create a peephole into my world and let those who are passing by to take a glance and what happens here.  Kind of like when you take a walk on a summer evening and it's dark outside and you pass by your neighbors houses and can see inside like you are two feet away.  You slow your steps so you can get a feel of what is going on.

I like making cookies.  But I LOVE making cookies with a glass of wine on the counter.  And so my adventure begins.
